The tables these questions read:

  • Vouchers: sales, purchase, journal, stock and manufacturing
  • Ledgers, ledger groups and cost centres
  • Stock items and godowns
  • Bills of materials and purchase orders
  • Job cards and the rejection register, by part and operation
  • Sales orders with customer delivery schedules, and dispatches

Teach it your definitions once

Rules are read with every question, so a term means the same thing in Chat, in Slack and in the Monday report.

  • Rule“The financial year starts on 1 April; write years as FY 2025-26.”
  • Rule“Rejection % is pieces scrapped ÷ pieces produced at that operation. Rework is not a rejection.”
  • Rule“An MSME supplier is a micro or small enterprise with a Udyam number on file.”
How rules work

Already running on it

A components manufacturer asks year-on-year department costs in ₹ lakhs across its bills of materials, purchase orders, sales registers, stock and trial balances, and runs automations on top.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with Tally?

Attach a Tally export in Excel to a conversation and ask about it. To keep Tally data current in the monthly MIS, copy it into a database you connect, and Supaboard can combine it with the rest of your ERP data.

Can it show amounts in lakhs and crores?

Yes. Charts and tables take ₹, Indian digit grouping (10,00,000) and lakh or crore short forms, and a rule such as "show amounts in ₹ lakhs, to two decimals" makes lakhs the default in every answer.

Our financial year starts in April. Do we have to say so every time?

No. There is no fiscal-year setting to find: tell your agent once as a rule, and every question about "this FY" or "Q1" uses April to March.

Can the monthly MIS go out on its own?

Yes. Schedule the MIS dashboard's email report monthly, as PDF or Excel. Or build an automation: a Timed Start on the 1st at 09:00 Asia/Kolkata, then Query Your Data, Summarize Insights and Send Email.

Can our CA firm see the reports?

Yes. Share a private datasite they sign in to with Google or Microsoft, or invite them as viewers. Viewers don't need a paid seat.
