Metabase is a very good question-builder over a warehouse you have already organised. Its model assumes the joins are known, the tables are clean, and somebody has curated what a "customer" is. Given that, its query builder is faster and friendlier than most, and its SQL editor is genuinely pleasant.
Supaboard assumes the opposite starting condition: data scattered across operational systems, no warehouse, and nobody who owns the semantics. The agent reads the schemas, carries business rules you give it in plain language, and holds them as memory across conversations — so "discard vendors with failed compliance" is something you say once, not a filter you rebuild each time.
