Supported formats

CSV and XLSX up to 100 MB, other files 5 MB

01 / Start small

A useful answer doesn’t need a data project.

Start with the export already on your desktop. Explore totals and trends in a spreadsheet, find key dates in a document, or ask about a chart someone shared.

Nothing else needs to be connected. The file is enough for your first question.

Different files. Different questions.
  • Sales export

“Which region grew fastest this month?”

  • Supplier agreement

“When does this renew, and what notice is needed?”

  • A chart screenshot

“What changed between August and September?”

02 / Ask your first question

Attach it. Ask about it. Keep exploring.

  1. Add your file

Attach a supported file to a new or existing conversation.

  2. Ask a question

Ask for a summary, a comparison, a calculation or a chart.

  3. Ask a follow-up

Keep exploring the result, or bring a connected source into the analysis.

Before you start.CSV and XLSX files up to 100 MB load into your Uploads in Sheets. PDF, Word, plain text, images and XLS files can be up to 5 MB. About Sheets

03 / Go a little further

Compare your file with connected data.

Compare a forecast with revenue in your warehouse. Check a partner’s account list against customers in your database.

The connected source is queried when the analysis needs it.

An upload stays as you attached it.

Changes to the original file don’t carry over. For newer figures, attach the updated version, and a spreadsheet is loaded again.

A few practical details

Common questions

Which formats and sizes can I upload?

CSV and XLSX files up to 100 MB each. PDF, DOC, DOCX, plain text, images and older XLS files up to 5 MB each. For an image, the quality and legibility of the source affect what can be read.

Does my file become part of my agent’s data?

A CSV or XLSX file does, if the agent has data access. It is loaded into your private Uploads in Sheets and queried with SQL over every row, and the agent lists it among its tables and can use it in later conversations. Other files are read in the conversation you attached them to. Explore Sheets

What happens when I update the file?

Attach the updated version, and a spreadsheet is loaded again. A copy loaded earlier doesn’t refresh when the original changes, so make clear which version you want to analyze.

Can I compare a file with a connected database?

Yes. Attach the file, or use a spreadsheet that is already part of the agent’s data. The agent also needs access to the connected database or warehouse used in the comparison.

Can I make a document available across conversations?

Add reusable reference material, such as definitions or policies, to an agent’s knowledge base. A CSV or XLSX file you attach becomes part of the agent’s data, if it has data access, so later conversations can use it too.
