Embedded Analytics — Plans and Limits
Supaboard embeds three things: dashboards, datasites and AI agents. All three are available from the Business plan upward, and Enterprise adds programmable filters and layout so the embed can be driven by the surrounding page rather than ignoring it. None of them are included on Individual.
What Supaboard is not is a full OEM analytics SDK for software vendors shipping white-labelled analytics under their own infrastructure. Sisense is genuinely better at that shape and we say so on our comparison page as well as here. Supaboard fits when analytics is a feature of a product that does something else.
Looking for how this works in general rather than what we built? Embedded Analytics: How It Works and What It Costs covers it.
The three things you can embed
- Dashboards. A board built from a prompt, wired to live data, filterable, and droppable into any page. Realtime and interactive with AI insights on Business and Enterprise.
- Datasites. A full data application — described in a sentence, generated from your live data, styled to your brand, published on a link. Useful when you want a whole page rather than a panel.
- AI agents. The analyst itself, embedded, so the person in your product can ask a question rather than read a chart somebody chose in advance.
Why teams embed rather than buy more seats
The usual reason is not cost, it is adoption. Analytics behind a second login gets opened during onboarding and then never again. Analytics inside the tool where the work happens gets used, because it is on the path rather than beside it.
The second reason is that the audience is often external. Customers, franchisees, clinic managers, suppliers — people you will never provision BI seats for, who need a handful of numbers about their own slice of the data.
What to check before you commit
Embedded analytics projects fail in predictable ways, and most of them are access-control questions wearing a UI costume.
- How is the viewer scoped to their own data? Getting this wrong is a data breach, not a bug. Enterprise adds role-based access and audit logs.
- What does the embed cost per viewer? A per-seat model that made sense for forty internal users does not survive four thousand external ones — worth pricing explicitly before you build.
- Can the surrounding page drive it? Filters and layout under your control, rather than an iframe that ignores its context, is the difference between an embed and a screenshot.
- Where does the data actually go? On the Enterprise on-premise deployment nothing leaves your perimeter at all.
Where we are the wrong answer
If you are a software vendor whose product *is* analytics, embedding a white-labelled engine under your own infrastructure and reselling it, that is an OEM relationship and there are vendors built for it. Sisense's Compose SDK plus its on-prem option is the strongest story in that shape, and Looker's Embed tier is designed around governed metrics travelling into the embed.
Supaboard is the better fit when analytics is a feature of your product rather than the product, and when the thing you want inside the page is a live agent rather than a fixed chart.

Frequently asked questions
Which plans include embedding?
Embeddable dashboards, datasites and AI agents are available on Business and Enterprise. Enterprise adds programmable filters and layout. They are not included on the Individual plan.
Can external users see only their own data?
Scoping the viewer is the part that has to be designed rather than assumed. Enterprise adds role-based access and audit logging; talk to us about the specific model before you build against it, because getting it wrong is a breach rather than a defect.
Do embedded viewers need a Supaboard seat?
Pricing for embedded viewing depends on the deployment and is not a published per-seat figure — it is one of the things to settle in a demo rather than discover later.
Can we embed under our own domain and branding?
Datasites are styled to your brand and published on a link. White labelling is an Enterprise feature.
Is Supaboard an OEM analytics platform?
No. If you are a software vendor shipping white-labelled analytics as your product under your own infrastructure, a dedicated OEM vendor such as Sisense fits better. Supaboard suits analytics as a feature inside a product that does something else.
