## How the connection works

BigQuery is one of the 12 databases and warehouses you can connect yourself. It connects directly and is queried when a question is asked, with nothing copied ahead of time, so setting up a first analysis takes about 5 minutes.

Connect it by signing in with Google and picking a project and a dataset from the list, or by uploading a service account key if you would rather scope the access yourself. Because the GA4 export usually lands in the same project, one connection often covers both the product tables and the traffic.
