# 3PL Warehouse Analytics: On-Time, Accuracy, Dock-to-Stock

> Ask your WMS about orders shipped on time per client, pick accuracy, dock-to-stock hours and storage billed, then send every client a weekly SLA report.

HTML version: https://supaboard.ai/industry/warehousing

**Every client's SLA numbers, ready before the client asks.** Connect your WMS database and ask about orders out on time, pick accuracy, dock-to-stock hours and storage billed, client by client. Then send every client a weekly SLA report of its own.

For third-party logistics warehouses, fulfilment centres and distribution centres.

## Every question, by who asks it

### Outbound

- Orders shipped on time per client yesterday, against the cut-off
- Orders due out today: how many are picked, packed and shipped so far?
- Pick accuracy by picker last week, from errors caught at pack-out

### Inbound and inventory

- Dock-to-stock hours by client last month, from arrival to putaway
- ASNs received last week with a quantity variance over 2%
- Inventory count accuracy by location from this month's cycle counts, by zone
- Slow movers by client: SKUs with no picks in 90 days

### Clients and billing

- Storage billed against pallets on hand, per client, last month
- SLA breaches per client this month: late shipments, pick errors and dock-to-stock
- Handling and value-added charges per client, this month against last

## Keep it running

- **One SLA report per client** (Monday 07:00). Each client gets last week's on-time shipments, pick accuracy and dock-to-stock hours in its inbox before the weekly call. Automation: Timed Start → Query Your Data → Summarize Insights → Send Email.
- **Carrier cut-off watch** (Every 5 minutes). A SQL check finds orders due out today that are still unpicked an hour before their carrier's cut-off, and emails the shift lead. Automation: Alerts → Send Email.
- **Each client's own datasite** (Every morning). A private datasite per client, with Google or Microsoft sign-in, showing its orders, stock on hand and SLAs from the WMS.

## The numbers it keeps watch on

| Measure | Definition | Source | In Supaboard |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| On-time shipments | Orders shipped at the planned time, off the dock and in transit ÷ orders shipped | WERC DC Measures | Weekly SLA report, per client |
| Order picking accuracy | Orders picked correctly ÷ orders picked, counting errors caught before shipment | WERC DC Measures | Weekly report, by picker |
| Dock-to-stock cycle time | Hours from the goods' arrival to putaway and recording in the WMS, averaged over receipts | WERC DC Measures | A rule, then the SLA report |
| Inventory count accuracy by location | Locations where the physical count matches the WMS ÷ locations counted | WERC DC Measures | Dashboard after each cycle count |
| Perfect order index | % on time × % shipped complete × % damage free × % with correct documentation | WERC | Ask it monthly, per client |
| Storage billing match | Pallets billed ÷ average pallets on hand, per client | Your client contract | Month-end check before invoicing |
| SLA breaches | Orders, receipts or counts that missed a target in the client's contract | Your client SLA | Each client's datasite |

## Where your data lives

- [SQL Server](https://supaboard.ai/integrations/ms-sql-server): connects live
- Oracle: connects live
- [Postgres](https://supaboard.ai/integrations/postgresql): connects live
- [Snowflake](https://supaboard.ai/integrations/snowflake): connects live

Or attach an export to a conversation, as CSV or Excel: Client rate cards.

The tables these questions read: Orders and order lines, with ship-by times and carrier cut-offs; Picks and pack-out checks, by picker; Receipts and ASNs, with arrival and putaway times; Inventory by location, and cycle counts; 3PL billing: storage, handling and value-added charges per client.

## Teach it your definitions once

Rules are read with every question, so a term means the same thing in Chat, in Slack and in the Monday report.

- Rule: "An order ships on time if it leaves the dock before its carrier's cut-off on the ship-by day."
- Rule: "Dock-to-stock starts when the trailer is checked in at the door, not when the ASN arrives."
- Rule: "Pallets on hand means the end-of-day count, averaged over the billing month."

## Security

- **Read-only by construction.** Database and warehouse queries are read-only. We give you the SQL for a read-only user too.
- **Credentials stay in the workspace.** Scoped to the one workspace that connected them, never logged and never sent back to a browser.
- **SOC 2 Type II.** An organisation-wide audit of the platform, covering every plan.

## FAQ

### Can each client get its own reports?

Yes. Give each client a private datasite with Google or Microsoft sign-in, and email each one its SLA report on its own schedule. You can also keep one workspace per client.

### Does it work with our WMS?

If your WMS keeps its data in a database you can reach, yes: SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres and Snowflake connect live. A report exported from a hosted WMS can be uploaded as CSV or Excel and asked about in a conversation.

### Can it change anything in the WMS?

No. Database and warehouse queries are read-only. We give you the SQL to create a read-only user.

### How does it learn how we measure dock-to-stock?

Write it once as a rule, such as "dock-to-stock starts at door check-in". The agent reads its rules with every question, and you can save reviewed SQL as examples.

### Can we check storage billing before invoices go out?

Yes. Ask once, pin the answer to a dashboard and have it emailed to billing every month as Excel, with pallets on hand against pallets billed for each client.
