**Cost and scrap by part, in ₹ lakhs, before the month closes.** For makers of machined parts, fasteners, castings and forgings: ask your ERP about rejections by operation, deliveries against customer schedules, department costs and MSME dues in plain English, and send the monthly MIS on its own.

For component and precision-parts manufacturers on ERP data, their finance and accounts teams, and the CA firms that prepare their monthly MIS.

## Every question, by who asks it

### Cost and the shop floor

- Department-wise expenses for the last three financial years in ₹ lakhs, with YoY %
- Material consumed against the bill of materials last month, with scrap % by part
- Rejection % by operation last month, against our 1.5% allowance

### Customers and suppliers

- On-time, in-full delivery against customer schedules last month: who did we miss?
- Top 20 customers this FY against last FY: who dropped?
- MSME supplier bills older than 45 days as of today
- Debtors over 90 days, and the drawing power we're losing

### Stock and compliance

- Closing stock by godown: raw material, WIP and finished goods
- Input credit in the books against GSTR-2B for September
- Ledgers that moved more than ₹5 lakh against the same quarter last year

## Keep it running

- **The monthly MIS pack** (1st of the month, 09:00). Department costs, rejection by operation, on-time delivery, stock and debtors, summarised and emailed to the promoter and the CA firm. Automation: Timed Start → Query Your Data → Summarize Insights → Send Email.
- **MSME 40-day watch** (Every 5 minutes). A SQL check finds MSME bills reaching day 40 and emails accounts, five days before the 45-day limit. Automation: Alerts → Send Email.
- **The CA firm's view** (Month end). A private datasite the CA firm signs in to with Google or Microsoft. Viewers don't need a paid seat.

## The numbers it keeps watch on

| Measure | Definition | Source | In Supaboard |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Cost-centre cost | Actual against budget and last year, by cost centre | Your ERP's cost centres | Monthly MIS |
| Scrap ratio | Scrap quantity ÷ produced quantity, by part and operation; rework is a ratio of its own | ISO 22400-2 | A rule, then a weekly report |
| On-time in-full | Schedule lines shipped complete by the customer's date ÷ schedule lines due | Your customer's schedule | Monthly MIS, by customer |
| Consumption variance | Material issued against the bill-of-materials standard × output | Your bills of materials | Ask it monthly |
| Inventory days | Average inventory ÷ cost of goods sold × 365, split into RM, WIP and FG | Your stock ledger | Before the stock statement |
| Debtors over 90 days | Receivables past 90 days, which fall out of drawing power | Your bank's sanction terms | Report before the 20th |
| MSME payables | Bills to Udyam-registered micro and small suppliers older than 45 days | MSMED Act s. 15; IT Act 2025 s. 37(2)(g) | Alert at day 40 |
| Input credit match | GST credit in the books against GSTR-2B | CGST Act, s. 16(2)(aa) | Ask it monthly, with GSTR-2B attached |

Or attach an export to a conversation, as CSV or Excel: Tally exports; GSTR-2B download.

The tables these questions read: Vouchers: sales, purchase, journal, stock and manufacturing; Ledgers, ledger groups and cost centres; Stock items and godowns; Bills of materials and purchase orders; Job cards and the rejection register, by part and operation; Sales orders with customer delivery schedules, and dispatches.

## Teach it your definitions once

Rules are read with every question, so a term means the same thing in Chat, in Slack and in the Monday report.

- Rule: "The financial year starts on 1 April; write years as FY 2025-26."
- Rule: "Rejection % is pieces scrapped ÷ pieces produced at that operation. Rework is not a rejection."
- Rule: "An MSME supplier is a micro or small enterprise with a Udyam number on file."

## Already running on it

A components manufacturer asks year-on-year department costs in ₹ lakhs across its bills of materials, purchase orders, sales registers, stock and trial balances, and runs automations on top. (A Supaboard customer, described without its name.)

## Security

- **Read-only by construction.** Database and warehouse queries are read-only. We give you the SQL for a read-only user too.
- **Credentials stay in the workspace.** Scoped to the one workspace that connected them, never logged and never sent back to a browser.
- **SOC 2 Type II.** An organisation-wide audit of the platform, covering every plan.
- **Your data region.** North America, EU or Asia, chosen when the workspace is created.

## FAQ

### Does it work with Tally?

Attach a Tally export in Excel to a conversation and ask about it. To keep Tally data current in the monthly MIS, copy it into a database you connect, and Supaboard can combine it with the rest of your ERP data.

### Can it show amounts in lakhs and crores?

Yes. Charts and tables take ₹, Indian digit grouping (10,00,000) and lakh or crore short forms, and a rule such as "show amounts in ₹ lakhs, to two decimals" makes lakhs the default in every answer.

### Our financial year starts in April. Do we have to say so every time?

No. There is no fiscal-year setting to find: tell your agent once as a rule, and every question about "this FY" or "Q1" uses April to March.

### Can the monthly MIS go out on its own?

Yes. Schedule the MIS dashboard's email report monthly, as PDF or Excel. Or build an automation: a Timed Start on the 1st at 09:00 Asia/Kolkata, then Query Your Data, Summarize Insights and Send Email.

### Can our CA firm see the reports?

Yes. Share a private datasite they sign in to with Google or Microsoft, or invite them as viewers. Viewers don't need a paid seat.
